The Spring Festival holiday next year will last 8 days, from Feb 10 to 17, according to the national holiday plan for 2024 issued by the State Council on Wednesday.

Feb 4 (Sunday) and Feb 18 (Sunday) will be marked as additional working days to compensate for the long holiday break.

Employers are encouraged to give their staff the day off on Chinese New Year's Eve (Feb 9).

通知稱,，經(jīng)國務(wù)院批準(zhǔn)，現(xiàn)將2024年元旦,、春節(jié),、清明節(jié)、勞動節(jié),、端午節(jié),、中秋節(jié)和國慶節(jié)放假調(diào)休日期的具體安排通知如下。

一,、元旦：1月1日放假,，與周末連休。

二,、春節(jié)：2月10日至17日放假調(diào)休,，共8天,。2月4日（星期日）、2月18日（星期日）上班,。鼓勵(lì)各單位結(jié)合帶薪年休假等制度落實(shí),，安排職工在除夕（2月9日）休息。

三,、清明節(jié)：4月4日至6日放假調(diào)休,，共3天。4月7日（星期日）上班,。

四,、勞動節(jié)：5月1日至5日放假調(diào)休，共5天,。4月28日（星期日）,、5月11日（星期六）上班。五,、端午節(jié)：6月10日放假,，與周末連休。

六,、中秋節(jié)：9月15日至17日放假調(diào)休,，共3天。9月14日（星期六）上班,。

七,、國慶節(jié)：10月1日至7日放假調(diào)休，共7天,。9月29日（星期日）,、10月12日（星期六）上班。

According to the plan, in 2024, there will also be a 3-day holiday (weekend days included) for the New Year's Day, a 3-day break for the Qingming Festival, a 5-day holiday for the Labor Day, a 3-day holiday for the Dragon Boat Festival, a 3-day break for the Mid-Autumn Festival and a 7-day holiday for the National Day from Oct 1 to Oct 7.
