主人公叫胡振興,，來自河南許昌，在西非國家加納一家中資企業(yè)工作已近10年,，從最初的一名基層管理人員成長為工廠總經(jīng)理,。

胡振興說：“在非洲工作,，溝通非常重要，管理的關(guān)鍵就是溝通,。如果克服不了語言關(guān)的話,，我們每天安排工作和布置任務(wù)非常麻煩?！?/p>

"As a foreigner working in Africa, I believe that communication is of the utmost importance. Effective management hinges on good communication. If I can't learn the local language, it becomes very challenging to organize daily work schedules and assign tasks to employees."

胡振興告訴記者,，初到加納時(shí),，他只會(huì)“Hello ”“How are you ?”等幾句簡單的英語，與當(dāng)?shù)貑T工溝通存在很大困難,。于是,，他痛定思痛，工作之余開始自學(xué)國際音標(biāo)和《新概念英語》等教材,，把工作生活中學(xué)到的英語單詞記在本上,，不斷背記和鞏固，直到完全掌握,。

學(xué)習(xí)英語的過程中,，胡振興得到許多非洲員工的鼓勵(lì)和幫助，彼此間結(jié)下了兄弟般的情誼,?！拔覀冘囬g里的工人不斷地在幫助我，有時(shí)候他們說的單詞我不明白,，他們還會(huì)幫我寫下來,，可以說，我們之間的語言障礙越來越小,。”胡振興說,。
